Outcomes Measurement: Concepts & Definitions

This web presents the key concepts for measuring and managing treatment outcomes. The topics are intended to introduce users with no prior training in statistics or research methodology to the statistical concepts and technical terms used in the implementation of outcomes informed care. The topics are organized sequentially so that readers can progress from one topic to the next in a sort of self-guided tutorial.

Each topic provides an introduction to concepts with links to increasingly detailed (and technical) information. The interested reader can become well-informed regarding the statistical and methodological issues involved with measuring outcomes and conducting effectiveness studies.

The content of this web is evolving as new topics are added and existing topics are enhanced. Registered users are encouraged to add comments, post questions, and make suggestions.
