How do I benchmark my outcomes?
The
Severity Adjusted Effect Size is calculated for each client and provides an indicator of how that client's change on the outcome questionnaire compares to comparable patients in the database, after adjusting for differences in
case mix.
- Severity Adjusted Effect Size between .5 and .8 indicates treatment is effective
- Severity Adjusted Effect Size of .8 or higher indicates treatment is highly effective, comparable to or exceeding results for typical well controlled psychotherapy studies
The
Clincian's Decision Support Toolkit houses client level data for each clinician and also provides summary statistics on the number of cases and the average Benchmark Score. The Toolkit date is updated several times daily, and permits the clinician to monitor their
Severity Adjusted Effect Size on a continuous basis.
